Accommodation
Looking for accommodation in Raja Ampat that's not at an expensive dive resort? You've come to the right place!
This site exists to help the people of Raja Ampat better advertise their homestay businesses on the internet. We're non-commercial, don't ask for or receive payment of any kind and will list every homestay we hear about.
If you've stayed at a place listed here and have feedback you'd like to provide, we'd love to hear from you - please leave a comment on the homestay's post. If you've stayed at a place not listed and believe it should be, please contact us with the details and we'll put them up.
If you are the owner of a homestay in Raja Ampat and would like us to list your business, please use the contact form or give your information to Robben to send to us.
Hopefully Raja Ampat Homestays will be a lot easier to find from now on...
Guided Tours
To discover the best of Raja Ampat's secrets and make the most of your time among the people of the islands, a guide is essential.
There's a wealth of local knowledge you'll never find in any book or internet resource. Whether it's where (and/or when) to see a specific animal or plant, how best to get to a particular place or getting to know people you don't share a language with, a local guide will make your experience so much more rewarding and trouble-free.
If you've travelled with a guide in Raja Ampat who's not listed here and would like to recommend him, please contact us.
We'll need your guide's name and contact details at least, but the more information you can provide the better: Tour area and type, languages spoken and prices would be great and a photo is always nice if you have one.
If you are a Raja Ampat guide and want to be listed on this website, please contact us and we will post your information.
Sights & Activities
Raja Ampat is justifiably famous as one of our planet's main centres of marine biodiversity.
The reason is obvious the second you open your eyes anywhere underwater among the region's thousands of islands. Indeed, in some places the ocean is so clear and full of life you don't even have to get wet: Simply gazing off a jetty or over the side of a boat will immerse you in that incredible submarine universe.
Although Raja Ampat's amazingly rich marine environments are touted as the region's main drawcard, there's plenty to be explored above the waves as well. The islands' baroque landscapes harbour a biodiversity as rich as that of the oceans and their tropical forests shroud more than the secret lives of plants and animals. Cultural heritage sites range from World War II bunkers through stone relics of bygone kingdoms to ancient burial caves and galleries of neolithic art.
A thousand green worlds of wonder. Trek, dive, kayak, snorkel, climb, swim, see them.
